Balances, grace periods and aging

Payments pay the oldest charges first, unless a payment names an invoice or you applied it to a charge. A charge becomes overdue after its grace period.

The Balances and aging report shows, for every person: the balance on the last day of the period, the status (Paid, Ahead, Partially paid, Overdue) and the aging buckets (current, 1–30, 31–60, 61–90, 90+ days).

Only approved assignments count. Pending AI suggestions are shown separately ("Pending review: 3 payments, $1,350") so the numbers aren't misleading.
